Can I just do a quick Brain Dump over this space?
Okay, I know that was random, but sometimes, it’s just best to put down what you’re thinking in the simplest way possible.
My master bedroom has been a constant “in progress” project. Just when I think I may actually have something I like…I don’t like it. I think I’ve finally figured out what’s been the problem. I was trying to fit too much in this space. The last bedroom refresh I did in this space was just a few months ago. Benjamin did the shiplap accent wall (still love!), I painted the top part a dark green, and we got a rug. The room felt so dark. And that’s just not my cup of tea. I wanted to brighten the space up.
Enter Wunderwall. They sent me a message on Instagram and asked if I’d be interested in trying out any of their peel and stick wallpaper. I took a gander at what they had to offer and replied, “Yes, please!”. Because there was one pattern that really caught my eye. It was bright and cheery and exactly what my room needed for the summer.
Hello, oranges! Thank you for brightening up my bedroom. I also ditched my bedroom rug and got a more neutral one. Oh, and I took out our bedroom furniture and got a little creative. I know that’s not for everyone, but I really do love it. Our night stands were big and bulky and I was able to pull cabinets I had in other spots. I also like that they are white and, yep, brighten up the room! lol
Let’s check out a before picture.
And the After.
Let’s talk about the peel and stick process. I’ve used peel and stick one other time and the Wunderwall peel and stick was much easier! First, you tell them the dimensions of the space and they send you what you need with a little extra for error. This is awesome because the brand I used last time came in a prepackaged box and I ran out. I had just a little bit more to go and I had to buy a whole new box to finish the project.
I also liked the back of the Wunderwall peel and stick. It comes off in little strips so you aren’t hanging a large piece that has the stickiness completely exposed, if that makes sense. And I love that they offer a textured canvas option, which is what I chose. They also offer a smooth surface, if that’s what you prefer. 🙂
Here’s a couple more views of the finished space. 🙂
