Adding New Hardware to Update Your Kitchen

My kitchen used to be my least favorite spot in my house. I think it’s my favorite now, which is a good thing because it’s where I spend about 110% of my day! When we built our house, we didn’t do anything fancy in our kitchen to keep costs down. Over the last three and a half years, we’ve slowly made changes to give this room a bit more character. You can check out some of our inexpensive kitchen DIYs here. You can also check out how we updated our kitchen sink here.

Today I want to chat a little bit about the latest update that’s made a big difference. New cabinet hardware. I was able to update all of the kitchen cabinets for around $60. I chose these pulls for the drawers. And these pulls for the cabinets. They come in lots of finishes, but I chose the golden champagne to match my new sink faucet.

I love seeing before and afters. This is a before of the kitchen.
And this after shot showcases the new cabinet hardware, sink and faucet, and open shelving.

I feel like our kitchen has so much character now. Sometimes these kind of changes are best made once you live in a house for awhile. And it’s okay to do them slowly! I still need to find a rug for in front of the sink area. And out biggest kitchen project will hopefully be coming up this spring or summer. We’re planning on taking an old counter that was in my great-uncle’s store and refurbish it into a kitchen island. Until next time, friends!

Love from my porch to yours,

Sharlie
